Last week the Arquillian Spring Framework Extension had finally awaited major update (still in it’s Alpha though). I have done some pruning of old compatibility features and also remove the overcomplicated parts that affected the whole project structure and design. As a result the new 1.1 version was able to move to Spring 4.x with support for new API and server dynamic registration, that hasn’t been introduced previously due to legacy Spring support. Besides that all of the major dependant version of the project has been upgraded.
The release does not end the work on this version, there are still plans to include Spring Boot integration, tighter integration with Spring MVC and Arquillian Warp and experimental feature to allow executing Spring Test as part of Arquiilian lifecycle.
At the moment you can try it out and download the artifacts from maven central.
